Kill The Hair Stylist, Now.

I need to take a deep breathe.

Of all these months, I had been loving and admiring how unique and stylish Song Seunghyun’s hair is.
My mom even said he looked extremely adorable (em, super biased ajumma-fan perhaps?).
But this morning, I received the shocker of the day.

Ah, the picture was from their fan-meet even in Japan (I think).
Hell wrong with the hair.
How did it get that long over just a few months?
How did that happened?
Okay, I admit his hair color is still there,
But GOD, boy, go and cut your hair already!
It’s too long!
Go and style it back like how you have your hair styled before.
Don’t keep long hair, this noona hates it.
Your hair makes me say “OMG, what happen to his hair, did the hair straightening iron thingy caused a big riot at the hair saloon that morning or did the hair stylist got a grudge over Seunghyun that he/she made his hair looked like that on purpose?”

Okay yes, Seunghyun is still hot.
He is still handsome and not to mention how I am loving his black jacket and red tee (not to mention that familiar-looking red feather thingy pinned on his jacket).
Thank you stylist for at least, dressing him VERY WELL.
Some might now even care about his hair.
But comparing this hairstyle and the previous hairstyle he had during CROSS & CHANGE promotion, it's a big different to me.

GOD blesses Seunghyun and his other fans who are shocked to see his hair (like me).

Sorry for my aggressive words in this post but I can’t help myself from writing it.
Gosh, it is a weird hairstyle for Seunghyun.
I loved Wonbin and his long extension for 나를 사랑해 & Heaven MV,
But I can’t say the same with Seunghyun and his long original hair.
I love the ponytail WAY BETTER than this hairstyle.

It gives me headache just to think about it.

그를 죽여 버리자.
Let’s go and kill the hair stylist, now.

Seunghyun, never ever have that hairstyle in Korea or else I’ll kill you too (or maybe I’ll spare you and kill the hair stylist again!)

20090903 사랑하기 때문에 & 바래 (Ballad Ver.) on MBC 음악여행 라라라.

I'd mentioned about this show before, in my previous review on the last live music show FT Island on. This show is call MBC 음악여행 라라라 (Music Travel Lalala) which is MBC very own live music show. FT Island appeared as a guest in that show which aired on 2nd September, performing two songs and had a 05:00 minutes of interview with the MC.

FT Island performed a song by Yoo Jaeha called 사랑하기 때문에 (Because I Love You). I admitted, this is my first time listening to the song and I instantly fall in love with how beautiful Hongki's voice was. They had a girl, introduced as Jeon Jihyeon (not the actress) playing the keyboard for their performances. Minhwan was inside a separated room to play his drum and I was kind of surprised to see the setting for this show. It was just like in a recording studio. 100% live music, this is not a lie. Jonghoon played the acoustic guitar, Jaejin sticking with his bass guitar while Seunghyun took over the two of the percussion thingy, I am sorry, I don't know what the two instruments were called.

The whole performance was beautiful. I love how the music sounded so beautifully, so harmonize. Hongki's voice was flawless and the song was awesome by itself. Watching Jonghoon played his guitar made me wanted to master that instruments as well, as he played very well. This performance was a bit more to the jazzy kind of performance. I never like jazz music but FT Island made me felt in love with jazz. The music, oh my, I am still in love with it. Very well arranged. If it didn't mention the song was someone else's song, I might just thought this song was owned by FT Island themselves. Once again, FT Island sounded so good LIVE.

I often said how much I love FT Island with their rockish version of 바래, the kind of performance with blasting loud guitars and drums. For once, when I listened to the ballad version of 바래 on this show, I found that the performance brought me back to the FT Island they used to be, the five-member boy band performing powerful ballad. It opened my eyes to a new perspective all over sudden. As much as I love their transformation for their 3rd album, I am still in love with the band who performed ballad songs, the old FT Island. That was why I felt in love with them before. I didn't expect the ballad version to be awesome by the slow beginning, but once Hongki started to sing, I found myself being blown away by his voice, and by how wonderful this up-beat song sounded in ballad, obviously because FT Island started off with ballads, and this kind of music suits them the most, or at least suits Hongki's voice the most.

The keyboard was a good insertion. It gave such a ballad feel, such love to the song. This song got such a beautiful heart-breaking lyric and sounded sad to me all over sudden. When FT Island performed it in a rock version, I forgot how sad this song's lyric was supposed to be. Hongki's voice brought back those lost feelings. The instruments blended in well together, creating such a heavenly feeling when I listened to it. The boys did very good with their instruments this time, and I have to admit, this is my favorite live performance of 바래. This performance was short, but I didn't want to complain because it was very beautiful. Again, their LIVE performance was flawless.

It got slightly up-beat during the guitar solo, and it was mesmerizing. It was softer and more wonderful during this ballad version. Jonghoon did a great job, and so did Minhwan with his drums. I loved how the bass sounded clear and amazing in this performance too. But overall, I really love how the keyboard was added, creating a good harmony in the music. I also adored the soft guitar riffs at the beginning. Jonghoon's amazing fingers strumming the guitar. They cut off all the solo raps by Seunghyun and Jaejin, instead they rapped together for the final rap part. Even when the song had such a ballad feel, the rap sounded very great. Seunghyun and Jaejin, both did very well. I love the version so much, it made me forgot they had made several version of this song before.

The interview cut could be watch here. I don't know why but the MC gave such a soft and calm vibe to the interview, or probably it was because of the setting. Unlike other live music show, MBC 음악여행 라라라 doesn't have audiences, and it gave a more private interview session. Less audiences screaming and randomly laughed. I liked this feeling, and most of all I like how the MC handle the interview. I can't do any translation, because I am being honest ; I don't understand a whole 90% of the interview. I am lost. I just watched it without saying a word. Just being mesmerized at how FT Island looked so down-to-earth during this interview, and that they wore black and white outfits. However, Seunghyun's half black half white shirt wasn't something I recommended though. It looked weird. This interview however, gave everyone a chance to talk, unlike how only some members talked during other live music shows' interviews.

Okay, I simply just love this show. Enough said. I love how they could just performed, with no audience screaming or clapping their hands out loud during the performance. I had to rip out the audio for 바래 performance, just because I am still in love with it. I have to say this is my favorite live music show's performance by FT Island. Simply love it. This show showed how FT Island is very talented but underrated by K-pop fans because they are a band, and that they could actually show their real talents on live music show. They may not be a typical idol group, but they sincerely wanted to show how they loved music, and wished to be musicians. They played their instruments live, and they had that talent with them.

Didn't I say FT Island sounded the BEST when they played their instruments live?

FT Island is the best. It's okay that they are underrated, I am still proud to be a Primadonna.

20090725 바래 Comeback Performance on MBC Music Core

Among all four music shows airing in South Korea, MBC Music Core was the least of my favorite. So, when I was watching MBC Music Core today to watch FT Island's final comeback performance, I wasn't expecting much because I expected much during their 나쁜여자야 comeback performance and I ended up feeling a bit dissapointed. This performance on MBC Music Core wasn't great, wasn't grand. Just like a normal performance.

They didn't performed two songs like how they did on the three other music shows and my mom was like "is MBC stingy or what?" and I was like "I know the reason why, mom". Well, so the five boys only performed 바래. The intro of their comeback performance was nice, very retro. The stage setting, it was weird. It had nice dimmed blue lighting, and it have Michael Jackson's setting, as a tribute I think. The boys wore the clothes from their album jacket, and I have to say that the outfit they wore today weren't my favorite. I like what they wore on yesterday's KBS Music Bank during 바래 more. But no one else could rock the half pink-half grey pants like Hongki and Seunghyun for sure. They are all looking awesome in no matter what they wore. The stage was huge but the boys were cramped into one corner of the stage, with Minhwan separated from the others. The two guitarists and the bassist were placed so close to each other, they seemed to be having difficulties with moving their instruments around. Oh, there are amplifiers placed for them too, but couldn't be seen because it was like hidden behind Seunghyun, Jonghoon and Jaejin. Are amplifiers a must have thing on stage for FT Island right now?

With the dimmed blue lighting, the boys looked awesome through cameras but one thing sucks, the cameraman got his camera shaken each time he shoot Minhwan. Random mistake? Somehow, my mom said it was irritating and it didn't make Minhwan looked good to be shoot by shaking camera. Like always, Hongki's voice was flawless in this performance, so it kinda make up for the flaw I mentioned earlier. Seunghyun's rap, it didn't sound as loud and confident as yesterday but he got a fairly enough time of his own shoot during his rap. And his smile was so adorable. So, I am satisfied. Fan chants heard were okay, loud but not as loud as before. Jaejin's rap, well, not as good as the previous performances too, but he did very good.

The guitar solo by Junghoon felt so short all over sudden, but he looked awesome. Love the way Hongki said "guitar!" during the guitar solo part. When Seunghyun, Jaejin and Jonghoon did the "left-right" movements, it surely seen clearly because they were so closed to each other, so that was cute.

Overall, the boys did okay and the performance was fine. Not extra-ordinary or grand, just fine. Nothing special, as if it was never a comeback performance at all. I know this review sounded much as I am trying to pick out the flaws, but I am not. Just stating the points I saw as not right. The boys did better before. Maybe I just don't like MBC Music Core much and that was why I always see the points I am not satisfied with throughout the performance rather than enjoying it.

Besides, I had just came back from a funeral of my mom's uncle, but since our family are not closed, we kind of left earlier or else I might not write this review and my mom probably didn't want to watch this with me at all. May you rest in peace.

Forgive me for this lame review, but this is what I felt after watching the performance. As I said before, it was just fairly good. Practically because I am biased, I will say awesome. So, the boys had successfully have their comeback performances done and starting from tomorrow, they will just appear on music shows and made performances, and perhaps topping some charts, please?

One more thing, FT Island and some other performers, SNSD, IU, Cool and some more unidentified artistes made a 00:15 seconds of choir for MBC Music Core with Hongki as the leader, so check it out here. Hongki was so cute, when he burst into a short laugh at the end of the choir, perhaps finding it funny that he was indeed leading a short choir performance. Though only the girls' voices could be heard through the choir performance, wasn't it worth it to see our Hongki leading a choir? Oh, the other four boys were standing at the back of the choir, with Minhwan and Jonghoon holding to microphones. Seunghyun made cute hand gestures, possibly trying to mimic his beloved hyung, Hongki.

20090724 바래 & 빙빙빙 Comeback Performance On KBS Music Bank

Okay, I know I said I'll be late in reviewing this performance, but I actually brought my laptop to the restaurant where we are going to have our big family dinner and while waiting for my elder sister and elder brother, I tried the wireless connection and tadaa ~ someone at YouTube uploaded the fastest video (it's even HD) for you to watch and for me to review!

So today marked the 3rd comeback performance from FT Island. Today, the five amazing boys performed for KBS Music Bank, performing the same songs like the one performed last night on MNET M!Countdown, 바래 & 빙빙빙. Well, one thing surprised me about this performance was that, does KBS Music Bank finally following SBS 인기가요 in placing two amplifiers for FT Island's performance? It's hand-sync, but still, the amplifiers looked as if they are really playing live (I am biased, I know).

Okay, now let the review begins!

빙빙빙 performance ;; well, what do we have now? Matching yellow pants! Yes, sent away those red pants and say hello to the yellow pants. Oh my, they are so tight and so bright. Haha ~ my dad laughed when he saw this performance from my laptop. He said they looked so dorky. The song is shorter than the one performed last night on M!Countdown, but it was perfectly great. Biased again, so forgive me. What is that yellow ribbon thingy doing at Jonghoon's guitar? Anyway, the stage is simple but, what caused me to nearly scream was Hongki's new hairstyle. No, the orange hair is still there, just new style. Cute, I kinda like it. He still did the same cute movements from last night performance and that was so cute. My mom agreed again. But OMG ~ Jaejin's glasses attached to that yellow thick string thingy, he looked so nerdy! Haha, I am not being evil, I just can't stop thinking how nerdy he looked with that style. But his voice and Hongki's voice are awesome, so once again, should I skip the vocals part? One thing sucks about this performance, there wasn't much shots of Seunghyun, Jonghoon and Minhwan. Just on Jaejin and Hongki. But I don't want to complaint much about that, because fairly, the cameraman did shot the moment they were doing the movements together.

For this performance, you can see clearly the "jump and turn around" movements being done together by the guitarists, the bassist and the vocalist. It was too cute to be expressed by words again. My dad laughed when he saw that. Oh dad, you should just watch silently. I loved it, they looked so playful on stage all over sudden. The performance was short, but it was enough to let me have my dose of the five boys in matching red opps, yellow pants!

바래 performance ;; again, changes in clothes! Hongki wore the skeleton beanie from the MV, Seunghyun wore the funky-styled jacket from the MV too and as for Jaejin, Jonghoon and Minhwan, well, I am not sure but they looked awesome. I adored Jaejin's yellow Doc. Marten's shoes. I wanted Seunghyun's jacket and his tight green pants (noona is in her crazy for younger boys mode right now, so forgive me, Seunghyun). I love the spinning stage, but didn't it made Hongki tired to keep standing in the middle while the other four were let to spin with the stage? He must be tired to have to walk until the stage stopped during the rap by Seunghyun. The other members didn't get a shot during the first verse too, due to the spinning stage. It wasn't the entire stage spinning though, just on the part where FT Island stood. The way the lyrics appear on the screen is cool too, very retro and fun to watch. Until now, Seunghyun's rap was the best in this performance, clear and loud. He looked so amazing with that million-dollar smile of his (my mom gave this title for his charming smile, plus the dimples) The cameraman loved him too, letting him to have all the shots he needed during the rap part, so I am loving KBS's cameraman for letting my baby have the shots unlike last night.

Hongki's vocal was once again flawless this time. The "left-right" movements were still done, and when my dad saw the movements, he immediately liked it (possibly soon-to-be-ajusshi-fan?) Jaejin's rap part was okay, well, perfect! His outfit is so colorful, patched with those colorful thingy which made him looked so dorkly cute! The fan chants for this performance were loud too, louder than any of the fan chants heard during FT Island's performances in KBS Music Bank. Oh, Minhwan wore his safety goggles again! And he even lipsynched with Hongki's singing. One thing to complaint though, not much shots of Jonghoon and Minhwan. Not even during Jonghoon's guitar solo!

Okay, I don't know if anyone see this, but FT Island had their comeback performance in KBS Music Bank with their song at 8th place, and I am pretty satisfied. I prayed that the song reached top 3 soon, perhaps next week because I want FT Island to put an end of the endless girls' groups war. FT Island, I know you boys can do it! Overall, I am satisfied with this performance as well. FT boys did very good!

Once again, because this performance and the review were watched and written inside a very fancy looking restaurant, I had to control my fangirli-ness or else I might be kicked out. My dad was forced to watch it because he sat next to me and he said they were fine. Now, all I have to do is to wait for the performance to be aired on KBS World's Music Bank, subbed! Probably takes about two or three weeks, right? Breaking news! Viewers of KBS World can now watch live show of Music Bank through KBS World, airing at 5.40 p.m. (+GMT8) every Friday, awesomely live just like the one broadcasted in Korea, but it will be non-subbed show though. Gosh, I missed it!

One more comeback performance to watch tomorrow and then I'll let you know which one is my favorite!

바래 & 빙빙빙 Comeback Performance On MNET M!Countdown

Another reason to be happy today will be FT Island's comeback performance number 2, just finished airing about an hour ago in South Korea. The five amazing boys of five treasure island (forgive me for writing such sentences) finally performed on MNET M!Countdown, performing two songs from their third album, 바래 & 빙빙빙 (okay, now I feel like I am a reporter or something).

Again, the video will be repost with a better quality once I got my hands on a more HQ video but for now, this will do. Replaced with a HD video instead, if it is still not satisfying for you to watch, why not you go and search for your own HD video or encoded it yourself?

Let's start the long-ish review right now!

바래 performance ;; weird how they started with this song first because usually come back performance will be started off by a short medley of other song, a song which was not the promoted single itself but okay, if it FT Island, I don't care much about the song listing as long as I could have my dose of five boys on stage with instruments. First of all, unique stage! Four boys around a small stage where Hongki stood alone, I swore I was worried that he might felt down but of course he didn't. Love the stage and how the boys started the performance, surely it got me amazed already. MNET surely loved these boys, as their performance seemed to be as if it was their own concert. There were lots of Primadonnas around the stage, and the chant for this performance was so good, my mom was amazed too. They were so dedicated, what a great fan-support! They also wore the same outfit for this performance as the one in 인기가요.

I got nothing to say about Hongki's voice because he is always flawless anyway. Trying to find a fault in Hongki's voice will be like a sin (my younger sister think so) because he obviously is one of the best male singer who sings live awesomely and without doubt, greatly. So, I might just skipped Hongki's vocal's review, right? Seunghyun's rap, well, it sounded way better than the one on 인기가요 and I loved how the fans chanted during his rap part. But I wished I could kill the cameraman because there weren't much shots of him during his rap part. Jaejin's rap was flawless too, and I love it. No wrong, just perfect! They did the movements which was called as the "left-right" together this time, but it can't be seen due to the round stage. It surely looked they did it together this time and it was adorable. Another thing which amazed me was that how loud was the fans chant during the guitar solo was heard. OMG ~ I am so amazed, even my mom noticed it and said that FT Island surely have such great fans to chant together in unison and synchronized like that. I am so happy to know fans are loving FT Island more now. Of course Jonghoon looked awesome during his guitar part and I love Minhwan and his yellow drums. So cute!

빙빙빙 performance ;; a change in clothes! The matching red pants! OMG ~ I am screaming again (and got smacked again, this time by my mom) when I saw them in their matching red pants. Same stage, different settings. No Hongki on small stage, as they were all around a decoration thingy and it looked great too. Hongki started singing, and he did the cutest movements on stage! Gosh I was giggling like crazy when I saw it (if only I could scream in happiness, it will be better). He looked so cute when he did all those random movements.

Jaejin sang perfectly too, and because I already reviewed his vocals before, no doubt he did great for this time. But here is the surprise, Primadonnas. They did a same movement during the chorus, the part where it goes "빙빙빙빙 뱅뱅뱅뱅", where they jumped and turned around together. That is way cute, way extremely cute! Hear how loud the fangirls screamed during those parts. I am so excited when I saw them jumping and turning cutely like that. So energetic, and the song itself is very upbeat and jumpy. FT Island have their own trademark movements on stage now! Now this is what I called the incredible FT Island! The movements were too cute to be expressed by words, so go and watch it yourself! My mom liked it too. Towards the end of the song, the four members except Minhwan walked around the stage, creating more screams from the fans.

How cute Seunghyun was with that white berret. I don't know how many times I tried to calm myself down but perhaps this is the first performance ever that kept me giggling through the performance. No disaster happened and I am so relief fans are supporting FT Island like crazy because during their performance, I thought I saw a sea of girls holding pentasticks around the stage. How amazing. Unlike other comeback performance, FT Island got a whole 06:20 of their own performance. Now, talked about showmanship for those minutes, it was awesome. The boys did so great, if I am their mother I will cry in happiness, proud of my boys. They kept the performance energetic and didn't bore the fans with random cuteness, movements on stage that kept Primadonna screamed and the most importantly, the dorkiness of each member.

I am done with my review, though I wanted to write more. Not long enough? Well, perhaps I haven't have my dinner yet, so that explained why I am too tired to write longer (this is way long enough, right?) I needed to stop or else I might get a heart attack, due to too much fangirling for one night. Still got two more comeback performances to watch.

20090720 Accused for Plagiarism, Or Was It Inspiration?

Well, this isn't really the hottest news right now, it's out several hours ago in SOOMPI and somehow I am interested in knowing more about this situation, so I decided to give a little investigation about it myself.

There had been a rumor around Netizens, accusing FT Island to plagiarise a song from Jason Mraz. The 4th track in their 3rd album, CROSS & CHANGE, 천사와 나무꾼 (Angel & Woodman) was told to plagiarise a song from Jason Mraz titled Live High. So here's Jason Mraz's Live High song to be compared.

So, I gave a try and listened to both ; to be honest and since I have to put aside my biased side towards FT Island to actually write this post, yes, I do hear some similarities from both songs, but only on the aspect of the music. The intro, especially the guitar chords for both songs sounded similar, but not seriously a rip off as said by some people. As the song from FT Island progressed, I sense no more similarities, as the chorus was totally different. The choruses for both songs are totally different. Surely, anyone who isn't deaf could notice this, right?

In my opinion, surely it sounded the same but there are thousands of other songs which sounded the same to each other. The choruses are different. The only thing similar was the guitar chords at the beginning. The music is indeed almost similar, but the lyrics and the feeling of the songs aren't the same. The question now is, does F&C actually bought the copyright of the song, was the really a plagiarism, or was 천사와 나무꾼 only inspired by Jason Mraz's song?

I'll be good, I'll wait for further news, perhaps from F&C Music themselves to speak up about the truth behind this song. But if this matter was brought up to down grade FT Island's 3rd album by some jealous (or crazy) anti-fans, I pray that whoever did this will die and rot in hell or maybe I'll be good and just wish those people have a better things to do.

20090719 바래 & 결혼해줘 Comeback Performance on 인기가요

How coincidence, the post about FT Island's comeback performance on 인기가요 is also my 90th post for this blog of mine!
I know this is a bit late, but forgive me because my TVAnts actually died on me even before 인기가요 started late today.

Let's start the review now!

FT Island have their own interview session, a short one, but a really fun one. I was giggling at how much Hongki talked and how excited he was to make random moves which caused Jiwon and Seora to smile at his dorkiness. Jonghoon talked to, but it was short, just mentioning about FT Island's tour earlier.

결혼해줘 performance, well, it was really short, as short as 01.20 minutes or so, but it was lovely. Though short, I could see how happy Hongki, Jonghoon, Seunghyun, Jaejin and Minhwan were on stage, unlike how they were looking depressed and sad with their previous songs (나쁜여자야, Missing You, etc.). How bright Hongki's hair was or how ridiculously short Jaejin's bangs were wasn't spoiling my mood when I was watching the performance. Being biased as usual, I thought Hongki was asking me to marry him (because if he is, I will love to). The performance was energetic, though short, it was worth to watch they performed 결호해줘 on stage. They wore the same outfit as the one shown on their album jacket and I must said, no one else could rock the half grey-half pink pants like Hongki and Seunghyun! Jonghoon's hair however, let's comment about it later, should we?

바래 performance ;; OMG, I love their outfits here, though there was no matching red pants, it was awesome or should I say flawless? I loved how the stylist coordinated their clothes for this performance, and how cool they made Junghoon looked with the shades. So 80's! The Primadonnas' chant for this song was fun to listen to, sounded energetic and very supportive! The fans are really loud during their performance too, and I don't care about it much, because it show more fans are loving FT Island. Hongki did nothing wrong in singing this song, and so were Seunghyun and Jaejin. They were a great team for this second performance. I was never this hype about a comeback performance before. The transparent curtain at the beginning, oh that was so COOL!

One thing sucks though, they cut out the final rap part from Seunghyun (you know, the part which started off with "let's go", in which happened to be my favorite rap part in the song), perhaps to save some time because they showed the guitar solo part. I hope they will let Seunghyun have his rap part back when they stopped having two songs to perform, perhaps next week?

Seunghyun and Jaejin's rap parts were great, they didn't make any mistake so that was a great relief. The camera loved Hongki the most, but you can see a glimpse of Minhwan too, and he looked awesome even at the back. The stage was beautiful, however reminded me of their Heaven performance on KBS Music Bank (or was it not?) but the bright lights made the stage looked great for the boys to perform perfectly.

During the second chorus, I think the guitarists and the bassists were supposed to do the same movements like seen in the MV, but Seunghyun was kind of left out before he joined Jonghoon and Jaejin. That movement they did together was so cute, even my mom loved it. She was kind of dissapointed by TVAnts but seeing FT Island's great performance an hour after the show somehow made her happier. One thing I like the most were their accessorized instruments. How cool Jonghoon's guitar looked, OMG, it was beautiful. Now, I really wanted a guitar of my own too. Jonghoon and his guitar solo, he looked so gorgeous, I am left speechless. His bright-colored hair might be something to rant about, but I can't because I am deeply in love with this MBC leader! Yes, his hair color had changed but he looked good with it. Seunghyun's hair was perfect, Minhwan's hair was perfect and even Hongki's orange hair and Jaejin's mushroom-hair (in which the bangs are shorter now) looked good for me. Oh wait, I change my mind, that mushroom-hair still have to go though, I demanded the stylist who made that hairstyle to be fired now. He somehow didn't look cute enough with that hairstyle.

I am done with my review. Though it was 80% influenced by my biased side of FT Island, my mom and my younger sister said the same about it. They loved it, and they are not biased. I loved it because I am biased and because I am grateful to have FT Island back even stronger now.

I agreed, FT Island transformed so much for their third album. No more sad ballads, just five boys having fun on stage. They looked so happy on stage now. The song was awesome, the showmanship was great and the looks were very perfect (honestly, almost perfect). I don't know about anyone else, but I am loving what I see. FT Island is changing to a better side of FT Island itself.

They did a great job. I am proud to be a Primadonna.
Now, have to wait for MNET M!Countdown, KBS Music Bank and MBC Music Core comeback performance to point out my favorite.

바래 & 결혼해줘 For Sunday's 인기가요 Comeback

FT Island will be having their comeback performance on SBS 인기가요 on 19th July. The idol band will be performing two songs, one is their first single, 바래 (I Hope) and the other song will be 결혼해줘 (Let's Get Married).
Lee Hongki will have a new look (hell yes it's new, Hongki and his orange hair, never seen that before), while fans could anticipate the improved rap's skills by both Lee Jaejin and Song Seunghyun (I am most anticipating the rap parts, especially by Seunghyun, because he often forget lines on stage). Choi Jonghoon and Choi Minhwan will also show their talents on the comeback stage as well (solo performance by the Choi's Brothers maybe?).

Okay, I don't know whether I should scream in happiness or smack something due to my over-excitement. I totally LOVE 결혼해줘 (Let's Get Married) and I was wishing that FT Island would really perform that song on stage!
OMG ~ my dream just came true.

Like anyone else (mostly Primadonna), I am anticipating tomorrow's comeback performance. I am wondering, will the three hot guitarists and bassist do the same movement as shown in their MV for 바래? Will they be wearing matching red pants again?
I know this sounded stupid, but my mom, who usually yelled at me for using too much Internet had just told me to remind her to be inside my bedroom tomorrow to watch SBS 인기가요 through TVAnts with me.
Not just my mom, my younger sister and my elder sister, with her son (he's a true fanboy of FT Island) are going to watch it together too, through the 1280 x 800 screen of my laptop.

The official website is updated each time FT Island released a Korean album, the last time it was majorly updated was during their comeback with JUMP UP mini-album and now, after releasing CROSS & CHANGE, the whole website got changed again.
I know it had been updated long ago, but I just need to post about it here because the gallery had been updated today.

I loved it so far.
Not much should be said, you can see the screencap of the website through the picture I posted along with this post though.
The gallery had recently been updated with tons of eye-candies, opps, I mean pictures which caused screaming by my younger sister (she really screamed when she saw solo pictures of Jonghoon) and me.
And this is a warning, you might want to be careful when you visited the gallery if you are a true Primadonna or have a thing for a vocalist with orange hair, a mushroom-haired bassist, a rapper and guitarist with killer smile, a hot but cheesy leader, a strong chibi drummer or five boys in matching red pants because those pictures are extremely gorgeous, it might increase the level of fangirl-ness in you, leading you to scream or just faint.

The website was built and designed by RainbowBus, which I believed will also be the same company which designed the CD boxes for FT Island's album.
I think RainbowBus (wow, that's a catchy company's name) did a great job.

CROSS & CHANGE - Personal Comments

빙빙빙 // Bing, Bing, Bing
In the information provided by YESASIA, it mentioned this song will be an addictive rock. Well, it is true. It is SO ADDICTIVE. I love every aspect of this song so much, it reflected another side of FT Island. Warning, once you listen to it, you'll get addicted (like me).

바래 // I Hope
Hongki sang this song, companied by Seunghyun and Jaejin's rap and I loved this combination so much. This is a must-listen song from CROSS & CHANGE. A song which is addictive and very charming. The whole music is so awesome, I don't know how it managed to get stuck in my head.

미우나 고우나 // Hate It, Love It
Finally, the first ballad for this album. It is good, a typical ballad you usually heard from FT Island. I loved Hongki's voice in this song though. But to get it stuck in my head, I had to listen to it for several times. The melody is so soothing, but I believed the lyric is sad. The chorus is the best part. The beginning got harmonica sound, reminded me much of Wonbin.

천사와 나무꾼 // Angel and Woodman
The rythm of this song is so - funky yet soothing? I don't know how to describe this cool-sounded song. I liked it, but still not absolutely into it. It's a relaxing-sounded song, the kind of song you listen on a do-nothing-day sort of music.

소년 소녀를 만나다 // Boy Meets Girl
The beginning is SO BEAUTIFUL! I felt in love with this song the moment Hongki started to sing. The whole song is just too beautiful to be described by words. I loved this ballad, not so heavy, not so light. Just a nice ballad and if only I understand the whole lyric, it would be the perfect ballad.

결혼해줘 // Let's Get Married
I LOVE THIS SONG! It's an upbeat song. Seriously, the rythm reminded me of Kelly Clarkson's song for a while but then, it started to sound different and eventually got catchier as the song progress. The best part is the chorus, Hongki asked me to marry him. Haha ~ now that's a joke. The "marry me" part is good too and I absolutely recommended this song to everyone.

꼭은 아니더라도 // Not Necessarily
A very mellow-sounding ballad, and it's as beautiful as other ballads by FT Island. The melody is simple yet very nice to listen to. Hongki's voice sounded wonderful in this song, and the guitar part is so awesome.

첫눈에 알아 // I Knew At First Sight
A song which all 5 members sang together. I heard Jonghoon and Minhwan during the first verses, then Seunghyun then Hongki then Jaejin. This song sounded reggae, much like their previous song 남자의 첫사랑은 무덤까지 간다 but even lighter than that and I seriously adored the chorus, because Hongki's voice suddenly sounded cute to my ears.

보내주기 // Send Away
The beginning is so cool, despite being a ballad, they used a different approach in the beggining. It's a simple ballad, and I loved the ad-libs during the verses. This is such a light ballad, but the electric guitar made it sounded so cool and upbeat. Again, the guitar part is awesome.

못난이 // Ugly
I can hear my Seunghyun rap, a lot! The rap is so cool, so angsty but unlike Wonbin, which differentiate him from Wonbin. The ryhtm is so mysterious and addictive. The chorus is also cool, but I just adored the rythm of this song. The chorus is upbeat, slightly higher than the verses. Highly recommended as well.

남의 속도 모르고 // Make Little of Others
Of most ballad, I am in love with this one the most. It really shows emotions, and I loved the piano-company in the beginning before the drums and guitars joined in. It reminded me of old-style Malay rock songs I used to listen when I was younger. Love the orchestra-sounded music companied by the band itself.

바래 (Ver.2) // I Hope (Ver. 2)
A more rock and roll and upbeat version of 바래, and the sound of the electric guitars and drums are more visible in this one. I wished they performed this live one day, because it would be awesome. Other than the louder rock music arrangement, the lyrics are still the same, still addictive. Oh, I think I like this version more.

Overall, I give CROSS & CHANGE 5 stars out of 5, on top of being biased, it is really worthy to listen to it. It's good, refreshing, something different and addicting in the same time. The ballads and the pop songs are equally distributed throughout the album. I loved it, as if it showed that the producers and those who worked behind the making of this album worked harder to make sure FT Island have their transformation in music. I'll say, FT Island had really transformed, CROSS & CHANGE is different from their previous albums.

OMG!! I CAN'T STOP SCREAMING IN HAPPINESS!
The long-awaited MV of FT Island's 3rd album's title song is out today!
The MV for the song titled 바래 (I Hope) is released today in South Korea and it's already uploaded on YouTube as well.
The CD hit music stores today, so I haven't have the chance to hear to any of the songs yet except for 바래 of course.

I had never seen any boys who looked awesome in matching red pants except for FT Island!
The song is so cool, it's so refreshing and I am loving it at first listen.
The best part would be the chorus and the rap done by Seunghyun and Jaejin!
Hongki's voice is so awesome!

The MV ; it is so cute and sad in the same time.
The female character, acted by Choi Ara (she is the "Ice Cream Girl" and also famous for her role in We Live in Oz CF along with other artistes) is so adorable and she looked so cute by Hongki's side who is again the main character of the MV.
The moment they appeared from the fitting room, the screaming. Haha ~ that was hilarious.
Their styles, again, I have nothing to say, even about Hongki's orange hair or Jaejin's mushroom hair or perhaps about anything because they are perfectly fine!
The adorable young FT Island! The little boys are so cute, and I loved how they dressed.
I am a bit sad by the ending, but I am loving the whole concept, the time-travelling thingy, all that I could say is that the MV is so perfectly made, though the concept had been used before. Salute goes to the director of this MV.
The guitar solo by Jonghoon was great too!
But the best part of the MV, the part when Jaejin, Seunghyun and Jonghoon did the same movements during the performance in front of the judges, OMG, that was freaking cute!
Not to mention random dances by all of them throughout the whole MV.
One thing, FT Island is playing 멋쟁이 Vs. 에뿐이 (FTI Vs. PRI) on the beginning right, or did my ears fooled me?

Seriously, I loved this song so much and I loved the MV too!
I often cried at how FT Island's members are brutally beaten or killed in their MVs before but this MV made me so happy, kept me smiling all the way until the end.
The boys looked awesome and handsome, I had the MV replay on YouTube for more than 10 times already (it's true).

Now, to get my hands on the CD.
And the comeback on 19th July.
I hope this song does well in charts.
The boys deserved to win something this year for their hard work.

FT Island "Grease" Style for CROSS & CHANGE

I could finally see it clearly ; the image of FT Island for their comeback with their third album!
The "jeans jeans style" mentioned here are meant to be the "Grease" style, as if bringing back the 80's style.
If you don't know how "Grease" style looked or what "Grease" is all about, then you must lived somewhere not on Earth, but perhaps Mars.
FT Island will appear with their 80's style for their 3rd album CROSS & CHANGE, release on 16th July, followed by their first comeback performance on SBS 이기가요 on 19th July.

This time, I had nothing to say about Hongki's bright red orange hair.
It fit him perfectly and I couldn't say it if anyone else have that hairstyle - because seriously, Hongki is even more gorgeous in that hairstyle and color than any hairstyle he ever had.
But forgive me for being biased, I once again think Seunghyun stood out among the other four members with his amazing and charming smile and I loved his hairstyle so much!
He is totally an absolute pretty boy for me, especially his beautiful smile.
OMG ~ he is looking so mighty fine.
And wait a minute, Jaejin looks okay with that mushroom cut, seriously.
I am liking it, plus that cool shades he put on and I loved what he is wearing in that picture.
About the Choi's ; Minhwan and Jonghoon, GOD know how much I loved Jonghoon's hair and his style, as my mom said, he looked the most "Grease-like" in that picture and not to forget my chicken drummer boy, Minhwan who looked oh-so-amazing with his so-Saturday-night-fever's hair.
As a conclusion, the five of them dressed right this time, nothing looked wrong, everything is PERFECT!

Among all the artistes that brought back the 80's style in 2009, I am most excited about FT Island because I am always a fan of those 80's musical, those styles in that era.
This is something I never imagined FT Island would do,
And when they do, they do it perfectly right and looked super awesome.
They are the coolest bunch of retro boys with the 80's style in 2009 ever.
Now, I have to wait for 3 more days until 바래 MV came out.

Awesome Sunday II ;; FT Island @ Asia Dream Concert

If you are wondering why this is included in the AWESOME SUNDAY post, that is because I missed having FT Island on stage and they did performed on stage today, perhaps being their last performance on stage before their 3rd album release next week on 16th July by attending and performing at Asia Dream Concert, a concert held for the Mud Festival.

I just missed having FT Island on stage,
Anyway, there wasn't much group pictures yet, perhaps it had just ended, but I will post one if they are a great group picture.

For now, let's enjoy how Hongki's overall looked, though Hongki himself looked very gorgeous, and I don't spot any bright red hair at all, his overall did look weird though.
Hongki, if you weren't that gorgeous, I will totally go and ask you why do you wear such clothes.
But because that you are gorgeous in no matter what clothes you wear, I had nothing to say.
That oversized scarf around your neck, the red band tied on your wrist, the leather glove, it somehow looked unique.
I am not sure how the other four members dressed, but I could imagine slight similarities to what Hongki wore.
Perhaps that was their stylist strategy, to make sure they dressed up like that before they undergo their transformation for their 3rd album comeback, with the bright red hair, the half black-half pink pants, the mushroom hair and all the Bokgo thingy trend as stated here.

It felt as if it had been so long since they ended their promotion for JUMP UP mini album through TV shows, and had been touring around Asia.
I missed them ; and I can't wait for next week for the release of their 3rd album and the release of their MV.

Just remembered, that mud festival thingy had been promoted through KBS World recently, and I didn't remember having it saying that there will be a concert held for that festival.
The mud festival surely looked exciting but I wonder, will KBS World somehow air the concert through the TV for us, their oversea's viewers to watch?
I don't think that is possible though.

It stated in the product information that the 3rd album will show more bright and cheerful songs for summer.
The title song 바래 will feature electronic and rock music together, showing off a strong melody companied by a rap.
Meanwhile, 못난이 and 결혼해줘 will also feature electronic music.
Raggae element will be added for the song 첫 눈에 알아 and an addictive rock and roll music could be heard in 빙빙빙.
As a conclusion, the album will feature a mix of strong upbeat rock and roll songs and emotional ballads all together to show a more upgraded and matured FT Island.
Forgive me again if I did any major mistakes with the loose translation for the product information taken from YESASIA.

YESASIA screwed up with the information though.
It was supposed to be FT Island Vol.3, not Vol.2.
Hope it got fixed.
Argh, it will be released on 20th July on YESASIA, 4 days late than the actual date!
