This is not something I do out of boredom—this is something I do as a continuation of what I have done last year on the last day of 2009. So right now, I am going to welcome 2011 by the same way—to list all of my favorites (of which have been heavily influenced by bias so you have been warned).

2010 however, my ultimate favorite band—FT Island—does not released a full album instead, they released one successful mini-album, three Japanese singles and a digital remake single of which all consisted of fifteen songs. Unfortunately, 2010 has been a year where I spent most of my time watching movies and listening to music rather than watching the great dramas of 2010. I believe that I should not rate a drama without watching it because the only drama I loyally followed in 2010 was 내 여자친구는 구미호 (My Girlfriend Is A Nine-Tailed Fox). I am still in love with that drama, period. I ship Dimple Couple forever.

2010 in general has been a great year in the Korean music industry and also for my own local music industry. I listen to almost every genre and although I am sticking with my bias forever—I am still open to any kind of music. I don't need anyone to bash me and my list because this is honestly what I like from 2010. I don't need any bashing or critics, because I am free to tell anyone what I like. I am free to listen to what you have to say—about your favorites from 2010.

At least I have finally witnessed my bias won awards for their excellent work in 2010. I love watching their success—and now I feel like a freaking mother to all those gorgeous boys. I also enjoy watching the success of others so let us say goodbye to 2010 and welcome 2011, in hope that it will bring even more happiness and success.

MNET Asian Music Award 2009 is over.
Congratulations to those who win - 2NE1, 2PM, KARA, Hong Jinyoung and the list go on and on.
Wonderful performances line-up (a bit bias, but that is my opinion ; don’t come and kill me because I enjoy everything though) and everything was fine.
I love 2PM’s performance the most because I am clearly missing Jaebum more and more lately.
The spotlighted empty space where Jaebum used to stand in Again and Again performance broke my heart.
And I am still ‘digesting’ the rap performance by the female rappers - quite confusing and not feeling it at all.

BUT,
One thing truly broke my heart.
FT Island did not win the Rock Music Award like how I expected.
Unfortunately, the award went to Boohwal.
Congratulation to Boohwal by the way.
I truly loved their song (and not to mention their vocalist).

This is surely devastating.
MAMA 2009 marked the first award show for 2009 in which FT Island was nominated with their new (though now, not so new member) Song Seunghyun.
I am pretty sure they totally want to win the award.
The boys must be pretty disappointed for not winning this award.
I know I am disappointed they didn’t win.
Strange how FT Island lead the vote poll in MAMA 2009’s website yet they lost.
But maybe I can’t read Korean well and couldn’t understand what the poll really meant.

I wonder how the boys feel.
How Seunghyun would feel for not winning the award with FT Island.
They were actually present at the award show minus Hongki who was away for drama's filming.
Look at how sad the four of them looked!
Seunghyun's dissapointment truly showed through his expression!
I am sad to watch this.
Though they looked HOT, but they were clearly dissapointed.

Even worst when the camera zoomed at Seunghyun when Boohwal was announced as the winner.
He surely looked as if he really wanted to win.
And Boohwal sat right behind them!
How cruel could that be?
They lost and they had to turn around and faced their sunbaes.
Aww ~ looked at how sad Seunghyun is, it hurts me!

It’s okay not to win.
At least they know they work hard and got nominated.
There will always be next time, boys!

As for the lighter part of the post,
Let’s enjoy Seunghyun and Jonghoon’s appearance on MBC Drama 식신원정대 (MBC Drama God of Cookery Expedition).
My favorite part of the show - where they sprayed some kind of sauce called 고삼차 into Jonghoon’s and Seunghyun’s mouth in which Seunghyun responded with a nasty yet cute “아프카크” and because I have no idea what that meant, I still found it amusing to see Jonghoon giggled when Seunghyun responded that way.

Fortunately it wasn’t kanari or else the boys will be dead due to its awful smell.

The show left me hungry.
Watching the two hot boys eating - they surely made meat looked so desirable.

Right, all that is left for me is to wait for episode 3 of SBS E!TV아이돌 막내 반란시대 (SBS E!TV Idol Magnae Rebellion) to be uploaded into YouTube because the preview looked promising.
I have to admit, this show is seriously funny.
Got to love the interaction between Seunghyun, Dongho of U-Kiss (my favorite magnae from other groups), Jinwoon of 2AM, T-Max’s Yoonhwa and Mighty Mouth’s Shori-J (he is hilarious).
I still laugh whenever I watched the part where Shori-J greeted Seunghyun and Jinwon with “brother from another mother”.
They are like real brothers.
The show really makes me laughed.
The segment where they rant about other artists while holding stand-ups of those artists truly is my favorite.
Can’t believe Seunghyun brought Kim Taehee’s stand-up board on the second episode!
Who would had thought Seunghyun is bad at that high jump thingy?
And him serenading the female guest with acoustic guitar *swoon* is just beautiful.

20090825 A Story of a Fanboy.

My nephew, Amirul Akmal, aged 5.

Remembered how I always wrote that my nephew, Amirul, is a fanboy of FT Island? Well, recently, he saw me watching the performance on SBS 인기가요 where FT Island performed Fire (2NE1) and Pretty Girl featuring KARA and he watched it along with me. Couldn't believe Amirul will really enjoyed it and he loved Hongki's palm-tree hair inspired by Sandara Park even more.

Haha ~ Amirul and his own palm tree hair. Yeah, I know he should be called Sandara Park's fanboy instead because the hairstyle was hers but he wanted me to do it to his hair because he saw Hongki did on his. He didn't even knew who Sandara Park was.

See, I told you my 5 years-old nephew is a fanboy of FT Island. He first watched Heaven Part 2 MV, and he kept watching it everyday until I got annoyed to use the laptop in front of him. He may not understand the Korean language but he told me that the MV was sad. Believe me, a 5 years-old knew that Jaejin died in the MV and told me the taxi's driver who killed him was BAD.

Soon, he was singing Heaven as if there was no tomorrow. He kept repeating the chorus part and eventually, he got some phrases in Korean right. The photo did him no justice because Amirul, my nephew is seriously good looking and I ended up calling him "Little Hongki" and after that, he insisted that he wanted to grow up and be like Hongki.

He really liked being compared to handsome Hongki and his mother liked it too, because obviously, my elder sister had a thing for Hongki during the Heaven short promotion. With his hair still black ; yeah, my elder sister had a temporary crush on Hongki.

He also learnt how to sing 나쁜여자야 but he didn't quite mastered the phrases well. He often laughed at how my father altered the lyrics comically. He watched KBS World's Music Bank with me and often asked when FT Island is going to appear.

Recently, he had been into the song 바래 so much, he already knew how to sing it. He kept watching the MV through my mobile phone and laptop, and told me to style his hair like Hongki's hairstyle. Thank GOD he didn't ask me to dye his hair orange or else his mother is going to kill me.

Ah ~ one more good news, my CROSS & CHANGE finally arrived. It looked amazing, not like how I expected it to be. GOD blessed the delivery boy who sent it to my house yesterday even during the fasting month. I am so happy. I am a very happy fangirl.

My nephew had became a fanboy, all because of me. He became the male version of me. Amirul, sorry! I never knew you would actually like FT Island like your aunt here. Haha, an absolute fanboy and he is just 5 years-old.

FT Island's Fire & Pretty Girl (feat. KARA) Rock Versions Performances on SBS 인기가요.

AHHH! Please, let me scream because I am totally CRAZY and happy right now! Just watched performances from SBS 인기가요 on YouTube and I must said, this week's SBS 인기가요 was the BEST music show I ever watched this year! OMG ~ I am still screaming when I wrote this, and I swore I heard my dad knocked on my door telling me to calm down. The best summer special performance on SBS 인기가요!

My two favorite groups, FT Island & KARA finally combined together to make one awesome short performance! Aww ~ it was worth the wait! I can't express much with words, because half of my excitement had been spazzed out to my younger sister just now. There were many more special performances but nothing could be compared (forgive me for my biasness here) to FT Island's rocking special performance.

Their image was totally about rock band boys! But I was laughing so hard when I noticed Hongki got his Dara 's palm tree hairstyle! Gosh, that was hilarious. The hairstylist must had a crazy time applying that hairstyle on Hongki. I also noticed Jonghoon and Jaejin got tiny ponytails on each of their heads too. That was just weird, but in the same time funny and cute. Thanked GOD nothing happened to Seunghyun and Minhwan's hair. I forgot to mention how HOT Seunghyun looked in this short special performance. I don't know why but he got this charm about him which made me squeled. He was so handsome. All the boys looked amazing, and my younger sister was drooling over Jonghoon.

The special performance from FT Island started with their own rock rendition of 2NE1's first hit, Fire. I have no idea they were performing this song in their own rock version! OMG ~ I swore the rock music sounded so awesome. The guitar riffs heard were totally incredible, and not to mention the amazing bass line! They must had recorded the rock music before. It sounded so cool! I can't believe Seunghyun took over CL's rap part! He surely changed the "CL" part into his own name. Did he said "I go by the name of Seunghyun of F&C..." ?? I loved the way he pronounced those short English's lines. He sounded so sexy (?) though his English was pretty messed up! I also loved how they kept the 2NE1 name in the beginning, as a sign of respect (no matter if FT Island is for sure a senior to 2NE1). Hongki's voice suit this rock version so much! He done some mistake with the lines and stuck his tongue out during performance, so CUTE! And when Seunghyun started to sing, I screamed again. His voice sounded so awesome! His image made him looked like the ultimate bad boy, my HOT bad boy to be precise. His voice blended in with Hongki's voice very nicely! I am glad they let Seunghyun sang instead of Jaejin for this performance because he completely made Fire sounded so awesome! Haha! They totally made me wanted to hear the full version of Fire in rock music! They made the song sounded COOL! I am so in LOVE with FT Island's Fire rock version! I just wished it was longer.

They continued the special performance with KARA's Pretty Girl in rock version but since KARA already released their own Pretty Girl School Rock Version in their previous mini-album, I wasn't expecting much. But the beginning was altered and it sounded awesome. When KARA appeared from behind the curtain, I was going crazy. The girls looked awesome, especially my two favorites, Nicole and Seungyeon. How sweet, the girls started the song along with Hongki as they made their way towards their MBC Idol's Army's partner. Jonghoon with Hara, Hongki with Jiyoung, Seunghyun with Seungyeon (I loved how this couple names rhyme for some reason). But because Minhwan was drumming at the back, Nicole stood next to Hongki instead. Aww, no Min-Cole moments! Gyuri who was partnered with MC Boom on the show partnered with Jaejin instead since Jaejin wasn't included in the MBC Idol's Army before. The fans, probably Primadonna & Kamilia combined together were singing together with the two groups, so loudly! Unfortunately, I can't hear KARA voices much in the performance, probably because Hongki's voice overshadowed their voices, considering the song's range must had been lowered to suit Hongki's voice. Since I had also heard Hongki (and everyone including Wonbin except Seunghyun) sang the male version of Pretty Girl, I was more excited about their chemistry on stage since FT Island had never been partnered with any female singers, especially a group on stage except for Younha before. They made several random moves from Pretty Girl and it was all cute. The boys looked so happy performing this song with the girls. The way they dressed looked almost similar ; rock boys, rock girls. I loved how Seunghyun and Seungyeon looked at each other and the camera caught their short (very short) moments together, and it looked as if they both enjoying themselves together, despite the age differences. Jonghoon and Hara were enjoying themselves too. Anyone spotted the matching pants they wore? Couple pants, perhaps? I can't believe how suitable Gyuri looked with Jaejin. Jiyoung showed so much cuteness with Hongki and I wished Nicole will run towards Minhwan and showed some Min-Cole love, however, there wasn't any.

They also performed 바래 separately, and I am in love with what they were wearing. The theme was green and silver and I totally wished I could have Seunghyun multi-color stripey shirt! He looked so cute (from bad boy to cute boy?) Hongki with tie, OMG! All of them looked awesome and I must said, the stylists were really making the boys looked hotter nowadays with the great improvements with their outfits. Once again Hongki nailed those high notes but I still can't understand why they must performed the chopped and shortened version of 바래. I am missing Seunghyun's first rap nowadays. How cute to see Hongki rapped along with Jaejin and Seunghyun during the last rap part. Overal, it was nice to see the boys in green (my favorite color) and looking all energetic. Must be because they were given a chance to sing along the five girls of KARA before. Haha, just kidding!

Great show! Congratulation to SBS 인기가요 for winning my vote for the best summer special music show! I totally loved all performances, not to mention MC Mong dancing to SNSD's 소원을 말해봐 with SHINee & 2PM members. Everything was totally COOL, but the most cool performance was still be FT Island's special performance for sure!

T-Ara's 거짓말 Part 1 MV

I didn't went online for a day and there is like a thousand updates I needed to catch up with. OMG ~ I am already tired of reading too much news this morning. So, T-Ara had their official debut on MBC Radio Star on 29th July, yesterday, but unfortunately, I didn't watch that show, so don't ask me how the girls did in that variety show. I don't know, all that I know is that the girls showed their own personal talents. That's all. Enough. I don't know more.

The MV of T-Ara's song, 거짓말 Part 1 had also been released, staring 대한민국 남동생 or translated as South Korea's Little Brother, Yoo Seungho. Honestly, I think he is cute, but I don't actually go crazy on him so yeah, practically I am too biased to like him what-so-ever. The teaser was released several days ago and the MV was released yesterday. For me, I loved the MV. As I said before, the concept of the MV was six girls dating one man, so obviously it was a case of deceiving loves, just like how the title meant. The MV was almost well-made, almost perfect and the acting by the six girls of T-Ara (Jiyeon, Hyomin, Q-ri, Soyeon, Eunjung, Boram) were awesome. I think the girls, especially Hyomin and Boram looked extra beautiful in the MV. I loved their parts, somehow linked together. Jiyeon was the one riding the motorbike with Seungho, Eunjung the one he danced with at the club, Hyomin was the one with camera, Boram was the one riding the bike with Seungho, and I think Soyeon was the one having dinner at the restaurant while Q-ri was the one who baked cake with Seungho, right? I am not sure about Soyeon and Q-ri since I couldn't really differentiate the two of them yet, so forgive me if I got it mixed up and wrong. The MV suit the song very well, and I could actually feel the emotions showed by the girls. How the girls hated being deceit, and I adored the beginning of the MV, when a girl (couldn't recognized who though) threw a glass towards the TV. The clothes they wore in the MV looked awesome too. The choreograph for the song seemed to be fun too, it actually made me wanted to learn it.

Okay, now that the MV had been released, we have a better look at who sing which part. I am not sure about the singing part, but I believed all the girls have strong vocals to start with. One thing that I found interesting was that, Hyomin, my favorite member of T-Ara was actually the one who raps in the song. Wow, that's a shocker. I thought her voice sounded different when she sang the ballad for Cinderella Man's OST. Well, this made me wonder though. Why is it, all the of my favorite members from almost all groups seemed to be the rapper? Hyomin, the rapper. Seunghyun, the rapper. Wonbin, used to be the rapper. Nicole, the sometimes-rapper. Eunhyuk, rapper. Yoobin, the rapper. OMG ~ as much as I loved reviewing on vocals, it seemed I loved rappers more. Among all the girls' vocals, I think I liked Boram's voice the most. I might be slightly biased over her, but I think I'd seen her in KBS Star Golden Bell with her father, if I am not mistaken and I actually liked her. Her image, she showed an innocence of a girl, that's kind of made me slightly biased over her. Hyomin, have a strong resemblence of SNSD member, Jessica and I realized this ever since she appeared in FT Island's Heaven MV. Eunjung was also my favorite because she looked mature and friendly, and not to mention beautiful even after she acted a the ghost for the movie 고사 and got her heart broken by Hongki in 천동 MV.

As a conclusion, 거짓말 Part 1 had already been my favorite so far so the MV made the song sounded way better. I loved it, and this MV made me want to fall in love with Yoo Seungho too. He is extremely cute. Now, what is left to do is to watch today's MNET M!Countdown where the six girls of T-Ara will have their debut performance. I am wondering how they will perform. Will it be okay? Or will be not?

One thing excited me now other than that is waiting for tomorrow's KBS Music Bank live on KBS World. I got to watch FT Island, KARA and T-Ara altogether on one LIVE music show. I hope tomorrow is going to be the best Friday ever, except for me still being sick.

20090730 New Music ;; KARA's Wanna + MV Review

I am back, well, almost back because I am still slightly sick but way better than two days ago so here I am, posting another new music and MV review post, just because I can't sit quietly and watched TV all day or just spend the whole day taking a nap and did nothing. My leg is still hurt, painful as hell!

Back to the post, so KARA had released their comeback hit Wanna a few days ago, and like I said before, I really wanted to make a new music post about it. So here it goes. The song is titled as Wanna, and firstly, let me say this. My first impression of the song wasn't good. I expected much after watching the teaser, as if I was getting really excited but when I heard the song, it was just not my cup of tea. I really LOVED Pretty Girl and Honey, but Wanna is somehow, not my liking. So it was hard. I gave it several more tries and I admitted, for me, it was like having bitter coffee (just because I am a coffee-holic), though it's bitter, the more I have it, the better I like it. I am not saying the song is bad, no, it's just not as catchy and fun as Pretty Girl and Honey. But I understand that the five girls of KARA are changing too, throwing away their cute image for sexy so yeah, the song kind of being stuck in my memory for a while. It turned out to be catchy and fun, but slightly repetitive but, because I am okay with that, I will say, after two days of being sick and was forced to listen quietly to my mp4, I think the song is good. Not extra-awesome or something, but it was worth it, it was good. Throughout the song, I only love the part where it goes "그대는 사랑해 my love" (the hangul-spelling part isn't confirmed, I just write whatever I heard). The beat is funky, reminded me of the first KARA, the one with their ex-member, Kim Sunghee debuted. Their strong image, my favorite image of KARA. Thank GOD they didn't go for the cute image again or else I might die of having too much girls around acting cute.

So now, about the MV. I am not sure when it was released, but I guess it was yesterday. I think the main girl of the MV was Kang Jiyoung. When I watched it, my mom was actually with me and she was surprised. She couldn't believed these five girls are the same girls who sang cutesy song Pretty Girl (remember Hara with the fluffy whatever hat?). I admitted, they really looked sexy, and I liked it. I like girls in a girl's group to wear different clothes and not matching ones because it will show their personalities more. In the MV, I swore I totally loved Nicole and Jiyoung. They looked totally beautiful. Jiyoung lost weight, right? And so was Nicole, right? Jiyoung looked different, and I couldn't believe that she is even younger than my younger sister! They looked amazingly beautiful, even in the eye of a girl like me. I love the clothes the girls wore in the MV ; especially the blue jacket Gyuri wore during the dance sequence and the destruction of the main male character's house. Their style for this song is so awesome. I loved it very much, way better than I liked their image for Pretty Girl. The concept of the MV is simple and cute too. It's like very cute, having the girls destroying the boy's house because they thought he didn't like Jiyoung but it turned out he actually liked her. The song sounded better with the MV for me of course. The MV is not actually extra-ordinary, but it is fun to watch. The choreograph seemed to be simple, perhaps simpler than Pretty Girl (in which it took me a week to memorize everything and managed to dance to it properly) but I kind of liked it, very much.

So now, as a conclusion, Wanna hadn't really been my favorite this week, since I already felt in love with another song, but Wanna is really catchy, I must admitted. It's not yet addicting like Pretty Girl, but I liked it. My mom said that the song was okay, but she doesn't actually judge a song through MV. She said she might say something about it when she watch the live performance, that means tomorrow at KBS Music Bank. Yeah, my mom loved watching music shows more. Well, I liked the song but it takes a longer time to get use and to memorize it. The beat is nice, but I am not sure what made it kind of hard to swallow. I'll be addicted to it soon, I strongly believed that.

I hope nothing but success for KARA. They had gone a hard time after debuting and they only got their recognition after a year of debuting. I can't wait to watch their comeback performance tomorrow, because I want to see the choreograph for this song. I am so glad they didn't adapt the cute image or the neon-leggings-ultra-shining-colorful-pitchy-rap-voice concept what-so-ever than had been somehow like a trend in South Korea. I am not bashing, I kind of like it, but K-Pop had seen enough of that concept. Thank GOD, KARA came with their own strong sexy image.

So today, I won't post anything.
I just got a fever, and my I even injured my left leg pretty badly, I can't even walk properly. I am in a mess and in a very complicated situation but I don't have a company at home with me so yeah, imagine me being sick alone on bed.

I was supposed to have Drawing Fundamental and English classes today but I don't know if I can make it. I have to walk for 20 minutes to college and with my hurt leg, I am not sure how I am supposed to make it. My parents are off to work and they didn't say anything so I am left to cry in pain alone ~ I hate being sick. I should go to a clinic but I need to wait until late this evening to go. But the pain is already unbearable!

So, originally I planned to post a new music post of KARA's new hit for their comeback this Friday through KBS Music Bank but because I am sick, the song sounded so plain and boring for me. I might just do that when I got better. I am still thinking whether I should just stay at home or go to college. I can't even think straight in this kind of situation.

I want to be healthy again! I hate being sick. I can't move a lot with my hurt leg. Why must I be sick on a day I must go to college?

Fight Scene:
사랑앓이 by FT Island ;; just like the MV itself, I imagine a devastating moment between two people, throwing things and hatred and this ballad fit it right in.

Breaking Up:
눈물이 툭툭 by K-Will ;; I am sad about it so there will be no other song to fit this situation except for this mellow ballad.

Getting Back Together:
미우도 사랑하니까 by Davichi ;; because we are getting back together, I don't want to care about his flaws anymore, and I will try to do better in our relationship.

Secret Love:
다 줄꺼야 by Lee Seunggi ;; I can't say it, but I want that person who I secretly love that I love him so much that I would do anything for him.

Life's Okay:
빙빙빙 by FT Island ;; life could be fun too, and when it does, I want a rock-ish song to be played so that I feel even more energetic.

Mental Breakdown:
One by Epik High ;; I can't find a perfect song to fit this situation, so I just randomly choose a song with kind of sad lyric but not a typical ballad.

Driving:
여행을 도나요 by Lee Seunggi ;; every time I am driving, I want to feel as if I am going for a trip happily in a summer day.

Learning A Lesson:
힘내 by Girls' Generation ;; I want to work hard to get everything memorize.

Flashback:
슬픈 사랑의 노래 by Davichi ;; this is for a sad flashback, as if a flashback about past love or devastating moments that had happened before.

Regretting:
사랑후애 by FT Island ;; I want to regret everything, as if I am regretting a lying love from a person who betrayed me.

Long Night Alone:
Missing You by FT Island ;; being alone usually made me want to miss someone, to think about someone and to want to have someone by my side.

Death Scene:
메아리 by Evan ;; I want to hear the dead person's voice as an echo, telling me to live well because death will always come and I have to accept it.

Closing Credits:
Primadonna by FT Island ;; well, I am a Primadonna, right? So there is nothing wrong in wanting to end my life by listening to a song which reflected my biased side.

Wow, that was a long wait.
I thought it was out days ago.
But I was wrong.
It was out today.

Well,
The MV is short.
And not exactly what I expected it to be.
But it is still cute and adorable.
And it seemed I can't get bored of the song.

The close up at the start of the MV was the best part.
I didn't expect to actually see them with instruments,
But hey, they didn't pose much with it too.

Enough said.
KARA is awesome.
