I told them that mine had been too old, and none of my friends are using Nokia 5300 XpressMusic anymore.
Last night, we had a long and loud talk about changing mobile phones;
We argued about how I had been using my Nokia for the longest time,
And how I wanted to use something modern like my friends too.
And it seemed, after a long period of persuading my parents (it took all night, believe me),
The hope seemed to be there.
So, my mom said not to have my hope high,
And that she’ll check on the mobile phone with her friend (who always sells mobile phones at the lowest price).
I pasted the ad I found in the newspaper in my dad’s office room,
Just so that he won’t forget.
My mom had already asked what color I want,
And said that she might buy it if the price is affordable enough.
I was very excited.
But,
This morning my mom called me,
And told me that her friend told me to buy either Nokia or Sony Ericsson because they are better than Samsung.
He told my mom that if I really want to buy a new mobile phone,
Consider Nokia or Sony Ericsson because if anything happen, it will be easy to find the spare part, in case it needs to get fixed.
Samsung on the other hand, is quite hard to be fixed and needs to be send only to its main branch in order to get fixed unlike Nokia and Sony Ericsson.
That friend of my mom’s told her that it will be better if I buy another brand.
Yes, Samsung Corby is nice, but is hard to be fixed if it’s broken.
Before, I had been eyeing Samsung Omnia, but my mom told me it was too expensive.
My mom had a thing for Blackberry, in which I don’t.
I don’t quite get the ‘it’ thing about Blackberry.
No matter how cool someone looks with it, it just doesn’t click to me.
Ah ~ Jeremy and Shinwoo made Samsung Corby looked so desirable.
They made that mobile phone looked so addictive.
Things wouldn’t be this hard if I didn’t see Samsung Corby in every episode of 미남이시네요.
I don’t know why but I was heartbroken when my mom told me.
I found myself almost crying when she called me, telling me about this.
She didn’t know I had been surfing through the web, looking for what Samsung Corby has to offer me.
When she told me to consider buying other mobile phone in which if she asked before I fell in love with Samsung Corby will be like a dream come true, I said no.
I said that I’ll use this Nokia until it’s no longer usable.
I am just disappointed.
My mood of changing to a new mobile phone is gone.
My dream to get Samsung Corby as my birthday gift disappeared.
I was so close at getting a new Samsung Corby,
Yet this happen.
It is true; Nokia and Sony Ericsson have bigger sales in Malaysia,
As not many uses Samsung or LG, unlike how it is widely used in South Korea.
Among my friends, only one person used Samsung and it was a long time ago.
I had been using Nokia my entire life;
And I couldn’t like Sony Ericsson at all even if it’s the most lovable or the best gadget ever for no good reason.
The moment I want to use Samsung, my mom said it will better if I don’t.
Though this is funny, considering that I had always been liking Nokia, and to suddenly change my interest to Samsung somehow surprises my parents.
This feels weird.
The moment something we want feels so close, it suddenly feels so far as if someone snatches it away.
Now, I want YOUR opinion.
What do you have to say about Samsung?
Is it good, or is it bad?
Should I get something else?
Any recommendation?
