Bowling All Day Long .

Title; Bowling All Day Long .
Side-Note; In The End We Suffered Aches All Over ㅠ.ㅠ

I got this posted really damn late!

My family and I went for DARWISH BOWLING TOURNAMENT 2010 at South City Plaza on February 14. Everyone was there, except for my brother-in-law. Wow, we got lost on our way and had to do u-turns for four times! Talk about how much toll fees my dad had to pay. My parents, my younger sister and I all wore blue and black and my parents wore similar black t-shirts that made we teased them as if they were wearing couple tees! So adorably surprising! We arrived quite late but definitely not the last one to arrive. The bowling alley was as usual emptied so we warmed up by playing by ourselves. Oh GOD, it was funny.

The real game started about an hour later after everyone arrived.

It felt so great to see all of my aunties, uncles and cousins gathered together in such a happy occasion. My mom’s family is always known for being loud and funny so there was no moment where we didn’t laugh. We were divided into six groups by random picks by choosing rolled up papers with numbers in it.

This is the part where it got pretty creepy for me.

I got into the GROUP ONE, which consisted of my older cousin, Abang Ipin (who surprisingly was in the same team as me last year in 2009 ㅋㅋㅋ), my other older cousin, Abang Pendi (who is Abang Ipin’s younger brother by the way) and our youngest uncle (no, he isn’t the youngest in the 13 siblings of my mom’s side, he’s just the youngest son, my mom is the youngest child, get it?), Pak Busu. OH MY GOD, I am the ONLY GIRL and the YOUNGEST member of the group? Now I know the feeling of being the magnae!

My mom and my elder brother got into GROUP TWO together, along with my other older cousin, Kak Ngah and my cousin’s husband, Abang Farid. Dang, to have my brother next to our lane was an AWFUL mistake!

My younger sister got into GROUP THREE, along with Abang Ipin’s second daughter Farah, Pak Busu’s wife Mak Busu, our cousin’s husband Abang Man and surprisingly their team had another player which made their team five-players team instead of four, our cousin’s husband as well, Abang Han.

If you wonder how many cousins we have, well, please don’t. It’s countless.

The GROUP FOUR is another surprise. The members of GROUP FOUR consisted of ALL the winning members of last year winning team - my dad, Abang Ipin’s wife Kak Yati and their eldest son Jaz and another member is my cousin, Abang Aie. Everyone was not satisfied by how they coincidently got together in one team AGAIN! We told them to just go and get the trophy even before playing because they were DAMN GOOD!

GROUP FIVE had none of my family member but consisted of my auntie Ibu Jah, our eldest cousin Kak Long and two more in which I can’t remember who, might be my cousin who is Ibu Jah's daughter, Kak Wani and the other one well - still can't remember.

My elder sister and my sister--in-law got together in GROUP SIX along with Ibu Jah’s husband Ayah Chik and our cousin, Kak Linda.

The game started and we played for three rounds. OMG, during the games everything was so messed up! My teammates aren’t actually excellent in bowling except for Abang Ipin because he is practically the pro one in our team. My brother was disturbing me and I kept on complaining about him at my parents like a child (but that gave me a chance to be a magnae for once in a while). Everyone was screaming and yelling at each other as we played and the atmosphere was VERY GOOD indeed. I loved to tease Kak Ngah when her ball didn’t hit the pins and I enjoyed yelling back at my brother (who was actually pretty good in bowling). It the one time were we could enjoy laughing at each other and teased each other while the little kids (mostly were my cousins’ children) ran along and laughed at everyone who failed to hit the pins. I remembered how Pak Busu accidentally dropped the bowling ball backward causing everyone to be aware whenever his turn came.

The game ended around 2.00 p.m. and while waiting for the result, some played more bowling including my family as we chatted and chased each other around while enjoying some fruits and snacks. The bowling alley looked as if we owned it. Haha!

And then the waited moment came!

The winners were announced - the last place went to GROUP FIVE while the fifth winner was GROUP SIX which was my elder sister and sister-in-law’s group. GROUP TWO consisted of my elder brother and my mom won fourth place and my group (surprisingly, again) won third place (for second year in a row and they all thanked me for scoring strikes more than three times during third round that made it possible for us to win the top three places). The second place went to GROUP THREE, my younger sister’s group even when three players of that group weren’t really good (but they won because they have five players instead of four ㅎㅎㅎ) and the first prize winner was none other than GROUP FOUR, the same members who won last year including my dad.

We all won hampers but the size differentiated according to places. We exchanged the snacks from the hampers and we talked about what we would like to do next as our annual family activities. Some recommended futsal but I was pretty doubtful about that. Not many older members would like to play it. But we decided to plan a trip to Pangkor Island in December but the actual plan is going to be out in June when we gathered once again for our cousin’s son’s birthday.

It was a FUN day without a doubt.

We were already asking when the next tournament will be because we were excited about bowling! I really hope that we could all gather together next time and have fun like how we did during the tournament. Really looking forward for any other activities with my mom’s family!

Oh, on the other note, Happy Belated Valentine’s Day!
