I finally finished my Fundamental of Photography's first assignment today ; just before dateline (well, basically it have to be sent in by e-mail by tonight so I managed to sent it tonight and not tomorrow).
The first assignment was to take a picture of a flower (sounded easy) by using a Macro mode in the digital camera. Hell yes, it surely sounded easy but we have to make the picture to have sharp focused object and blurred background, and imagined me who had never used the Macro mode before using it. OMG ~ I swore I had taken dozens of photos but none work at first. I almost gave up, even everyone who saw me taking pictures every evening outside my house seemed to give up too.
Anyway, I finally took the best photo ever this morning, right after the rain. The photo was a photo of a pink bougainvillea flower outside my house (photo included in this post) and I did a bit of editing to let the photo looked brighter (well, who told me to take a photo during a cloudy morning anyway?) so when the photo appeared on my laptop's screen, it surely looked okay enough. Took another two photos of different flowers, but my family said this flower photo looked the best. I know it looked ordinary to people who are experts in photography but for me, it looked good enough because it's my first time taking such pictures.
I am so lame. I love taking pictures but I knew little about it. I'd sent the photo as an attachment to my lecturer just now, including the aperture size and the shutter speed, which is somehow confusing. Tomorrow's FoP class, I could already imagine being given tons of notes about cameras and photography.
Hope the photo appeared inside my lecturer's inbox soon.
